Severe Back Pain is No Joke

When you have severe back pain you will ultimately seek the help of a doctor.  It can be very disconcerting when you are told, by a licensed and experienced doctor, that the pain is in your head.  The problem is that you know that your pain is real, but the doctors also know that there are a low of people trying to get medications or even insurance money.  The fact of the matter is that severe back pain is not in your head.  

The Mystery of Severe Back Pain 

When you have severe back pain you might give up hope and assume that you just have to live with the pain.  Most patients start to wonder if they are crazy or if they will ever find someone who will be able to pinpoint where the pain is coming from.  A lot of the people who have severe back pain will see many doctors and specialists before ever finding where the pain is coming from.  If you have had every test and therapy and you still hurt, do not despair.  There are many people who are in the same boat who have the same amount of pain.  Unfortunately, severe back pain is not well understood, which makes it hard for doctors to treat it effectively. 

Whatever you do, do not give up hope of living without your severe pain.  If you don’t find what you are looking for with one doctor go to another until you find someone who is willing to listen to you.  Severe back pain can stop your life in its tracks, but it doesn’t have to continue to be this way.  Surgery is always a last resort, but don’t shut down the idea of any doctors as long as they are willing to help you do away with the pain.  Get to the root of the cause…just keep looking for the answers.
